Harvora™ model-card brief
Orchard spray-window planning model card
This model card documents the method, evidence target and limitations for orchard spray-window planning. Selection is calibrated on 2021–2023 seasons and evaluated on held-out 2024–2025; the full all-candidate denominator (1,248 of 1,511 rain-free) is published beside the headline so the comparison stays like-for-like. Rain truth is the ERA5 weather archive rather than in-orchard gauges; withholding periods are evaluated separately per harvest date.
Direct answer
What this supports
A spray window is a selective operating signal built from forecast wind, gust, rainfall and daylight hours — so spraying can be planned days out, with the product label and block conditions governing the day.
Intended for New Zealand growers, technical partners, lenders and insurers.
Evidence and method
How the signal is formed
Candidate windows are ranked from the cross-provider hourly forecast and published only above a calibrated validity gate, with withholding-period handling kept separate.
Evidence grade: ESTIMATE
Weather-benchmark measured today; every grower outcome logged in the product feeds the field benchmark it is measured against next.
